I buy three or four download albums a week and I really can't ever see myself just buying songs here and there. I like the idea of getting the album experience rather than just singles. There are so many gems to be found in the b-sides that it's really sad to ignore them. |

Those 180 and 200 gram vinyl records really just can't be beat. To me, there is not comparison between vinyl and anything else, vinyl always wins. There is just something about putting on a record that makes it an experience rather just having something playing in the background. |

I like the extras that come with the physical product. |

| | | | I prefer to buy the CD and rarely buy downloads unless I need a particluar newer song or an old song that is not on a CD. However, I have encountered numeours problems with downloads from several providers where the quality is not good, there are hiccups in the download, or other issues. I still own a massive vinyl collection too. |

| | My favorite songs were never heard on the radio | | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Tulsa, OK | | | I buy CDs for several reasons:
(1) They're of higher sound quality than MP3 downloads
(2) They tend to cost the same or less than an MP3 album download (purchases on Amazon for me average about $9.00 per)
(3) I have the album artwork and credits, which I love to read
(4) It gives me a high-quality backup for my MP3s
(5) As the OP stated, I still believe in the concept of an album, where (hopefully) the artist took time to put a collection of songs together, in a particular order, for a reason |
