Cds to transcribe?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, can you guys recommend some cds to me. I want to start taking bass seriously and start transcribing but I'm on a tight budget and I can't go out and buy a whole discography. I want to start listening to more Jamerson and Bootsy but I don't know which ONE OR TWO albums would best exemplify their styles (especially with jamerson who played with so many different people). I realize that I'm probably not going to start out transcribing Jamerson licks but I want to start soaking up the style. So on top of those two artists can you recommend a general good album for transcribing? (and I mean something that doesn't have just 8th note lines like some punk band or something) but something that I would gain insight into bass line construction by transcribing as well as transcription skills.

Thanks,
Lastweek
