i went to my first show last night and discovered the miracle of voice recorder on my cell phone as i recorded my friends band,

so now i record all of these bass riffs and leads and such onto my cell phone so i dont forget how they go as i have done so many times

On the live at the quick DVD, I recall bela fleck mentioning how when they're on the road he doesn't always have a way to remember a melodic idea he might have, so he calls his house and leaves a message, so that when he gets back he can recall it again.
