Chaka, Ain't Nobody Live, who's on this recording?

Does anyone have any info about this recording? From what I gathered off a Google search is that it was released in Feb. 2008, and was never authorized by Chaka Kahn. I'm not sure what the deal is, but this version is pretty incredible. I'm trying to figure out who played on this recording. It sounds like Marcus Miller on bass. The drummer is pretty incredible too.

Here's the tune.

Here's a link to the album on Amazon.

Here's the cover:

Here's a link to the CD on the label's website. They say it was recorded in 2007. The cover they show is different, but the track listing is the same.

My band is in the process of learning this versions and I'm really loving the arrangement. Much more modern than the original. There are some monster bass line going on in there. If it's not Marcus then it must be an impostor.

Judging by the release year, I say it's Andrew Gouche.

Just confirming - definitely Gouche, and he is killing it! Man, I love his playing with Chaka Khan...definitely in the wheelhouse for both of them. The drummer is ridiculous too.

Gouche no question.....I watched them together on HDTV a couple of months ago live in concert. He is her director and bassist. It was so neat to watch the bassist be up front leading the band and not in the back. That man has got some grooves.

Pretty much anything Gouche's on is worth listening to simply for the bass. Gotta love a man that can groove like that.
