ah, I remember this video.

probably my favorite rendition of Donna Lee to date. *sigh* I'm still trying to learn the melody on bass... by far the hardest song I've ever played.

Although it's great if you can learn a difficult piece like this by ear ( I assume that's what your trying to do), It is also an excellent reading exercise. The original score is available online or at most sheet music music stores. here is a link for Jaco's version which is pretty much transcribed accurately.

oh, I'm learning one of the real book versions... dunno how accurate those are..

the fingering is makes it difficult. It's an odyssey across the entire fretboard every 2 measures or so...
