Wow. He can play notes pertaining to a chord is rapid succession for 3 seconds, then pause... rinse and repeat. Kinda weak.

I'm not trying to hate or anything, or say I could do better, but to me it just sounds like you're trying to play a little above your level, focusing more on speed and runs over note choice and feel, maybe you should trying toning it down a bit and try playing more melodically, I'm sure people would rather see a bass player nail it with this real cool lick that sticks in your head over some of those nonsensical runs. Again, just trying to give some creative criticism, not trying to put you down.
