I'm fairly certain there's supposed to be a link somewhere in that post, but I'll give it a search.....

I assume http://myspace.com/frontcounter is it. Not bad at all.

"What's Your Name" is really catchy. Nice backing vocals. I like the guitar intro on "A Toast to You and Me".

Your playing fits the songs well. I like that "bouncy" kind of tone for that style. What kind of bass is that?

****, thanks mate. I totally forgot about a link. I added it now. Thanks heaps for that. On 'whats your name" I used a 2000 Fender mia jazz bass through a Mark bass sa450, and mark bass 410. It was close miced. I also used a sansamp for the di, and the two tracks were blended together. And on "a toast to you and me" i used a cij p bass because it seemed to blend really well with the kick drum, but still be punchy. Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

Thanks heaps mate, we are just trying to get some airplay over here at the moment. We are still kinda of finding our feet if that makes sense, this has been our first proper recording with a real producer. We are going to tour the hell out of this for around a year, then see where it takes us. Thanks for having a listen.

ps. lol- guitarist wanted to put some guitar strings one your "white" bass and record with it? haha, hilarious.

Thanks masher, appreciate the positive input and the feedback. We got offered a totally dodgy deal a year back when we were doing our second demo from a small independent label. The guy that owned it though was such a greedy bastard that it kind of scared us off. When we took the contract to the lawyer she told us that if we signed the contract we would have had to have sold 30,000 cd's before we saw a cent and that if the money was not totally recouped we would have to pay it back out of our own pocket. The trouble with all that as well was that he was the owner of a small studio and he wanted us to record the whole Ep there and charge us full price for the studio time. The studio sucked quite badly and he wanted to produce the whole thing.

We kind of told him thanks, but no thanks. lol
