Hey all-
The tunes from our latest recording are available for your listening pleasure at our Myspace page: www.myspace.com/reachingscarlet
Let me know what you think. Overall I'm very happy with how they all came out. The mix is pretty solid overall. I was surprised with how much better they all sounded after mastering. I recorded this using my Warwick and used the direct output from my Shuttle.
Turns out the guy that mastered our tunes also did some work for Tony Levin - there were a ton of gold records on the wall, autographs, etc., but I was most impressed with the cartoon that Tony Levin drew for our mastererer. We got our mastering done at Mastermind Productions and recorded at The Exchange.
Finally, I feel obligated to shill our product: you can buy our tunes at Amazon, iTunes, eMusic, and Napster. If you have any extra Pepsi Points lying around, you can use them for our songs. |

btw, the horns are REALLY tight, solid and their intonation is really good!! i have played trumpet for many years, so i'm really critical on a horn section..

I particularly like "Almost"

Back Off Man, I'm a Scientist
I really dig that tune (the first one on the list) - I wish we could have recorded that one in the studio. |

It's also nice to hear a good horn section.
Edit: Is it possible to get some of them in a higher quality?

I have to find out what kind of audio files they gave us. If it's the uncompressed .wavs I'm thinking I can gussy them up a little bit so we can put them up on our website. |
