Check out my groups first studio recording! (funk)

We had the chance to get in the studio the other day and were able to get a few songs tracked. This is uber rough from the studio with no compression/reverb or anything done to it, so I'll try and get the mixed/mastered ones up later on.

It was also my first recording with my new (to me) Modulus Q5! This was recorded entirely live btw.

I like it, aside from a super grooving rhythm section, the horns do some pretty out there stuff. Pretty unusual in an awesome sort of way. Good stuff.

Thanks man. Glad to hear it sounds "different" and unique. I'm pumped to get the other tracks and to see how they sound after they've been mixed/otherwise processed.

Wow man i really dig it. It's a nice blend of a funk based groove rhythm section with modern jazz horn parts. Very cool. Lemme know when all the tracks are finished, i'd be happy to take a copy off your hands.
