These are extremely rough mixes, and will be mastered later to sound a million times better. Well, with that said I guess there is no more to say. Oh, please listen to all of the songs before you post what you think. And if you have a myspace page give one of our songs an add to your page to help spread the music. We would really appreciate it..........THANKS guys

nice music, I like it. I like Shine and Chances more than the other two, but that's just cuz their more my style. everything sounds great though. Your vocalist has a really good voice, btw.

how did you record everything?

MusicMan Sterling w/Nordstrand pup direct. All the basslines are really simple on these recordings. The producer and I kinda bumped heads at first. I play totally different basslines at the live shows..........more complicated and groove oriented stuff and fills thrown in when needed. He preached that less is more when recording unless the bassline is the focal point of the song, and it turns out he was right. I think the rough versions sound great, and I can't wait to get the mastered mixes of these

Dude, I gotta tell you, I think it sounds great. I really like the singer, great voice and great melodies. The whole production sounds good. I might like to hear the bass cut through the mix a little more. I'd buy it.

Overall a very solid pop sound- this is pretty far from my type of music but pretty well produced, and I can definitely see where the natural extensions of your basslines would be. In this case the producer is definitely right, and the approach you take here is nice, but I get annoyed at producers who try and have bands change things up signifigantly- obviously in a session I can totally dig, but if its your band and your sound you should be able to do what you want. After all, it is your money.

edit:
I totally didn't follow your advice and commented after listening to the first two. I really enjoy the second two quite a bit more- I bet you guys have a blast playing, but the bass definitely needs to come through on these more. I feel like it often is surrounded in fuzzy sludge.
