No nibbles? I understand you guys are all worried about recordings that happened 25+ years ago.

I'll bite.Overall I like it. Particularly "Sign On The Line". Constructive criticism; Drummer could tighten up a little bit. Guitars could use a little more "Crunch". Good vocals. Nice riffs. Turn that bass up a little.

meeeh... everything is solid tempo-wise. Musically, drummer needs to branch out a little with some more creative fills. The guitars and vocals have a tendency to fall into very similar, if not the same pattern rhythmically. I'm not saying that it's necessarily a bad thing, but to me personally, it gets tiresome very quickly. Bass playing is good, but you need to try and shape your parts into bass parts, rather than just modified guitar parts. Understandably in metal, bass is normally playing the root, but things like changing up the rhythm , or adding passing notes helps give variety. Aside from that, I'd say that the first three songs have very loooong intros. You need to cut them down a bit and get to something substantial faster.

Recording-wise, metal mixes need to be very aggressive. Thick, heavy guitars, super clicky, aggressive kick drums, connected by a deep, growly bass tone. Even the "not so metal" metal should still follow that same protocol, just not on as grand of a scale. So it's up to your band how aggressive you want to sound. Vocals also sound very distant, and need to come out alot more.

I didn't hate it, but there's alot of stuff that could be improved. You guys are on the right track.

the beginning of the first track musically reminds me of Coheed and Cambria.
in general could do with some more beef in the low mids to my ear, but otherwise well done! the style is quite appealing.

I am sensing a Co&Ca influence as well as a Trivium influence. Also, the vocalist seems to be going for a Killswitch Engage thing. Strange combination.

As for the mix. The drums are aenemic, the Guitars and Bass are muddy, and the vocals are gelling with the background music (which is a good or a bad thing depending on whether you are trying to be poppy or not). But unlike the other people here, I am not going to tell you what you should play or how you should play it... that is your decision.

My final verdict: you sound like a High School metal band with a vocalist whos balls has dropped. Which I assume is what you are going for.

Long intros is a metal thing bro.

I don't know whether to take that as a complaint or compliment.

Yeah Co&Ca, trivium and defiantly KSE all have some influence. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "the drums are aenemic."

But alas thanks on the comment! the more constructive criticism the better we will become.
