Finally joined the world of MySpace this week:

Be curious to know what my bass brothers make of my music - I'm writing the songs, playing bass, and singing; with a crack band completing the picture on the finished articles (Ade on guitar, Jack on drums, Mike on keys).

Join me!

you sound a little like the brit version of fred schneider from the B-52s (i mean that in a good way), nice beatboxing as well! (hehe)

good bass work too, i like your playing and you got dat FARTY TONE all the kids are into these days (i mean that in a good way)

slap a little wah guitar on amaryllis and it's done, very catchy...

Sent you a friend request Alex. Small world, here I am in NW Ohio in the US, and my mother is originally from Brighton.

Thanks for all the feedback. You're one of many to comment that I sound like the male vocalist from the B52s - I've only ever heard Loveshack in passing, and none of their other stuff! Must have similar vocal chords!

Gotta get that growl to make the finger-funk lines work - all those tracks are either bridge or neck pickup soloed, which are both pretty growly tones, just one is more farty and high mid funky, the other is more thunderous and throaty. On quite a few of our other tracks I run both pickups which mellows out the tone and gives more highs and lows and less in your face punch, but none of those are on MySpace.

Guitarist send me his first takes of his parts for Amaryllis - no wah, but some nice phaser work, so a twist on an old theme! I need to get down and get all the vocals done - got 8 songs with the drums and bass done just waiting for the rest of the music.

Groovy! How did she end up in the US? You've been added to The Reluctant posse.
