Very cool. I played in a band with horns in Suffolk County, LI, NY. Back in the day. Mostly stuff like Tower of Power. Oh the memories! Funk Horn Bands rule!

What was the name of the band? Very possible we know some people in common. Richie Canatta, Charlie Interrante, Steve Interrante, Bobby Rondinelli, Teddy Rondinelli?

This was recorded last night at a place called The Brickhouse, out in Patchogue (Long Island). It's the regular Sunday night jam hosted by Jim Kolman/Josey Wales Band. What is Hip is prolly the next song we'll jam on. I'm about halfway through a note-for-note transcription of Rocco's magnus opus. Gotta be clean to be hip!

Horns rule!

On my last visit to NY (I'm originally from NY), a fellow TB member took me there. What a spot!! The talent there is amazing. Some road pros show every now and then. Some "serious" funk was happening up in there! A good handful of killer bassists!
