Chinese Democracy - Excited or no?

Sign in to disble this ad
Well folks... theres always been rumors around about the impending release of this album... but still nothing.

However, within the past few weeks there have been several tracks, such as TWAT, The Blues, IRS, and Chinese Democracy itself. (Better is also up... but that was a while ago)

If you've heard these, what do you think about them. And if you haven't, then i suggest checking them out on youtube... most of them are up

I really like them, and i still think axl's still going no matter whos in his band... but maybe i just still have hope that the album will one day come out... until then ill have to live on leaks and when a new one comes out:

I think Axl is a fool for going on. I don't care for the old, trashy, lazy stuff of the G&R of old, so the concept of a new album just make me roll my eyes and sigh.

I think I read somewhere that over the decades that he's been working on this album, it ended up costing $13M.

There is no shame in a singer from a great band going solo. There IS shame in a singer from a great band keeping the name alive with a constantly rotating selection of session players. Unless of course you are playing the casino circuit, then some leverage can be applied. An frankly, that is where Axl belongs at this point.

A stylist friend of mine went on tour w/ Guns and Roses last year to do his corn rows and make up. He was a punk to deal with. Complete Diva.

Holy crap. It better be the best work of art ever recorded.

But fifty bucks says it flops.

In 1997 with at least Slash and Duff in the band, perhaps. In 2007, not in the slightest.

...and it's an amazing stat that even *Def Leppard* has released 4 albums of new material, one covers album, and two seperate Greatest Hits packages in the time it's taken Alx to unfinish one. Times, they have a'changed.

They've been my favorite band since 1991. I still look forward to the release even though I know that nothing short of a miracle can live up to the hype this thing has generated.

+1 I find Axl's voice annoying. Might be able to tolerate it if there's loads of fantastic playing on there. Who's in the band at this point?
