Loved it!

I also really liked the lyrics of your songs. It seems that many "Christian bands" try to hide the fact that they are singing about Jesus, God and/or salvation. Your lyrics are very refreshing.

I have been out of playing with a group for about 3 years. My son (drummer) and I have started playing again. He is sitting in at a church where some of his friends go. Really enjoying it. We are looking at jamming with some of the other musicians, maybe even putting something together. Your sound and lyrics are very encouraging.

Keep it up, and don't hide the message.

You're not stinky. Believe me, I've played with Stinky before, I recognize stinky a mile away!
However, I would like more presence of the drums in the mix, especially his (or her) kick drum. I felt like there was no pulse coming from the drums.
And I also think you need to lock your time a little better. Sometimes your downbeats sounded a little rushed to me.
Other than that, I like

Well, you asked for it. I think "Carry Me On," is great, all around. The other songs are nice, too, but I think your lead singer needs to clean up his pitch a little. He seems a little flat here and there.

I'm not a songwriter (and I've tried), and I have a great respect for anyone who can come up with original music that doesn't suck, and for that I give you kudos.

Not stinky. I enjoyed both cuts, really. I don't often comment on posted material (momma tol' me, "if ya can't say somethin' nice ... ") but your stuff is good. I'm not nuts about the recorded quality (a bit over-compressed for my taste) but the music is good, and you are all competent musicians. I like the bassist's energy in "You Lord" ... Keep on servin' the King, brothers!

hey guys, I just want to say thanks. Glad you dug it. This is actually a band I am thinking of leaving, but I love playing with them so much, plus we do get a fair share of gigs out there. BTW the drums were from some online place, you send them your disc, they send back a mixed down drum track, so we had no control over the punch of the kick drum. Anyway, thanks again.

Pretty good stuff... I like. Keep it up. We believers need the good tunes too...

We just finished the last tracks for our 5 song demo CD yesterday. Can't wait for the sound guys to mix it down!

You had some nice runs in those songs. Good playing, very tasteful for that style of music.

I like the sound overall. Musically it isn't so complicated that it gets in the way of the lyrics which I think is great. Sounds pretty good overall. Not the highest quality recording but I think you are on the right track.

for Carry Me On the rhythm department could be tighter. Think the electric solo was abit off rhythm as well. But its nicely recorded. The drums sound great. Think the strings were a tad to loud.

cheers.

Just listened to Carry Me On. Pretty good, but since you asked for constructive criticism, here goes. The mix is pretty much swimming in reverb - you guys sound like you're in a cave - especially the acoustic guitar. Less is more with effects. And it sounds like the acoustic player must have done the mix, levels on the acoustic are pretty high in the mix overall. The bass player is in a different time zone than the drummer. Bass is up on top of the beat and needs to lay back. Guitar solo on intro was pretty weak - he needs to play ideas not scales.

Notwithstanding all that I liked it overall.
