I'll take a guess and say a slightly modded (can't remember what, maybe a J-pup at the bridge) P-bass, all natural as i recall. Going direct!
I could be wrong. It's from reading so many things over the years that i sometimes just get a vision in my head when a sudden bassplayer and era is mentioned.
Sorry for the Zen input here.

Really good playing. And I like his tone.
I don't know the answer, but it's nice to see some Mark Jordan/ Blue Desert love here! I still break out the vinyl for that album from time to time, did it ever make it to CD?

I´m only 22 so I learned about Marc's music from my uncle. He got both these records on cd. But I´ve never seen them anywhere else.
I think you can get them from Japan (offcourse!)
Both these records has so tasty playing. And I really like his lyrics.

This thread got me feeling a little nostalgic, so I broke out my Blue Desert LP and Rainey's not the bass player, Abraham Laboriel is.
