| Here are my choices:
- Antonin Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor "From The New World", B. 178 (Op. 95).
- Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto De Aranjuez for guitar & orchestra.
- Gustav Holst's "The Planets", suite for orchestra & female chorus, Op. 32, H. 125.
- Anything by J.S. Bach minus the sacred music (which is great, also, but not the type of music I like to hear).
- Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons (Il quattro stagione), concertos (4) for violin, strings & continuo ("Il cimento" Nos. 1-4) , Op. 8/1 - 4.
- Leo Delibes' Sylvia, ou La Nymphe de Diane (Ballet Suite).
- Ludwig Van Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 135 in F.
- Ludwig Van Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor ("Fate"), Op. 67 (and not because of the hyper-famous main theme. That's just the tip of the iceberg).
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550.
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Horn Concerto No.3 In E Flat, K.447.
- Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, for orchestra, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel.
- Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, children's tale for narrator & orchestra, Op. 67. (Mimics several animals, but great work, anyway)
- Fryderyk Chopin's Polonaise in A flat major, op. 53
- Fryderyk Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B flat minor, Op. 35.
- Igor Stravinsky's Le Sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring), ballet in 2 parts for orchestra.
- Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody, for piano No. 2 (the "original" No. 2) in C sharp minor (I & II), S. 244/2 (LW A132/2).
