Wow! Great Clip! Kinda like really, really quiet, though. Really, really quiet and dark.

There's a lot of great stuff about this clip.

1. Jamersons Right Hand
2. At 11 sec into the clip, it looks like Smokey Robinson is in the background with headphones on.
3. Rhythm section, strings, horn and singers all in the same room at the same time on the hit.

Pretty cool.

I'm glad it wasn't, because I for one, I probably wouldn't have seen it. I know those other forums are there, but I rarely look at them, unless I have a very specific question.

I don't think i'm alone, either. I just checked and there are, like 12 people viewing "bassists" compared to 80+ here. The only time I asked a question on "bassists" I got zero information.

From my (admitedly lazy) point of view, yeah. It's not clicking one link -- it means that if you want to see all the stuff that's new you have to click six or seven links and then scan that many lists. I think all the sub-categories make this site more like a reference resource than a message board, and maybe that's the idea. Just doesn't work as well for me.

I just click on Search -> New Posts and that's how I wound up finding it.

Okay, I guess I need to work on my forum-browsing skills. Thanks for the tips, and no offense intended.

And thanks to the original poster. Very cool. I wonder how much other footage there is of Jamerson in action? It sure would be nice if someone colected it and put it all together on a DVD

beadgc,

wasn't trying to ruffle feathers... just pointing out the obvious.

PM me, should you have any further off-thread conversation for me.

cheers,

Was that the standard recording process? I would imagine mic bleed all over the place. Interesting to see Jamerson playing that way with the single finger!
