Ok I had this idea the other night right? Alot of people ask (including myself) for us to describe the sound of each different bass. But just how exactly do you describe the "warwick growl" etc? Well I thought maybe use this thread to put recordings of as many basses as we can, with all the details of the bass eg:

And maybe a breif description of your bass' set up?

this way I can edit every post into this post and create a list! Hell if it goes well we could maybe even sticky it! Providing its usefull!

Having said that, good luck on your quest. There are definitely distinctive sounding basses though; Stingray, Fender Jazz, etc

Amp/Settings: Straight in the Board, VERY SLIGHT bass boost.
Strings: DR Mediums
Bass: Active with 3 band EQ, 2 Mighty Mite Soapbars, Swamp Ash body, maple neck, mahogany strips. Bass almost all the way up, mids a little bit up past middle, treble almost all the way up.
