Converting iTunes files to mp3

Hi

I recorded some stuff with a band, burned it down onto a cd and transfered the files to my pc using iTunes. iTunes converted it into a file i think is called mpeg4 or something like that. How do I convert that into mp3?

You should be able to change the import options to MP3, then re-rip the disc in.

There should also be a "convert selection to MP3" option in the "advanced" menu, at least on my Mac there is
