| | | | Cool Bass intros...

It seems like every time I am in Guitar Center some yahoo is playing a nasty bass intro, usually something RHCP-ish in the slap/pop genre, and I was just wondering what ones you guys like?
As much as I know it's not important, it would be nice to learn a few of those to mess with from time to time. So, what are some real cool bass intros you guys enjoy noodling with? |

| | | | I already know and can play some decent rock ones like "How Many More Times" by Zeppelin and "NIB" and various others.
What about ones that are a little funkier slap/pop varities? |

| | | | I can't say I've ever tried to learn it, but I'd like to give a nod to the bass intro on Jeff Beck's "Head For Backstage Pass". |

Truly sinister, gut-churning horror movie of a bass intro.
Suits the subject perfectly. One of my favourites. Evil just don't do it justice.

Alice in Chains - Would?
Anthrax - Caught in a Mosh
Jane's Addiction - Up the Beach
Live - TBD
Muse - Hysteria
NIN - The Hand That Feeds
Rage Against the Machine - take your pick, maybe Bombtrack or Freedom
Tool - Forty Six & Two
Oh, and if I want to impress some snot nose kid staring at me with that "hey mister, can you really play?" look, yeah I break out the RHCP's cover of Higher Groud or Primus' My Name is Mudd or Tommy the Cat, or bass-god forgive me, Van Halen's Eruption. And as soon as they go away I stop immediately.
