I am interested in making a music CD that would be for sale, that would use snippets of political speeches or talk radio. Can anyone point me to a resource on the legality of that? I assume if I want to use a few seconds of a government official's speech, I may do so. Talk radio, I'm less sure about. But even there, I expect it's OK to use a few seconds without permission or remuneration. |
