In the past I have heard some country music that I thought was pretty catchy I just have no idea who the band/artist was. Some of the more emo type country I found to be very touching , if you guys could recommend something along these lines or even like heavier country rock I would appreciate it. Thanks

Maybe this is not what you're looking for and maybe I'm the less indicated person to make this recommendation since this piece is a staple of Country music and you're already familiar with it, for sure, but anyway I think it's great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icMTVV5Lwaw
BTW, that's the piece that inspired this guy's most well known work. |

Newer artists worth listening to:
Keith Urban
Brad Paisley
Dierks Bentley
A little farther back:
Vince Gill (great guitars & vocal)
Diamond Rio
Obviously, there's hundreds more, especially if you go back far enough. Those are just the first few that came to mind. I could also think of several to recommend you NOT waste your time with, but I'll play nice. |

Also, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley.
Also a kinda rockin' country thing is Brother Phelps. Kentucky Headhunters, Dwight Yoakim.
