doesnt sound that bad to me least you got the guts to put your stuff up for critics to view unlike most of the people on here who "talk a good bassline" but never back up their criticisms with any evidence

Don't get me wrong, I'm not say he was horrible at playing. I'm just saying that it sounded like 40 really good riffs that did not belong near each other.

Sorry but that wasn't anything more than a bunch of aimless noodling, regardless of the recording quality.

Can you explain why his myspace stuff is aimless noodling, but yours isn't?

I listened to rhix's stuff, and to answer your question: Structure. Really, there is an obvious difference.

And is this really doing something different? Like I said, it just sounds like someone trying out a bass/amp at a guitar center. I suppose most people wouldn't record that... so it's a bit different.

I wasn't saying all of his stuff was noodling, just the song he asked us to listen to. i actually gave him some positive feedback for one of his other songs last time he posted it here.

I'm sure he'd like to have an honest opinion rather than people giving him +1 because he's "doing something different", whatever that means. To me, the song "raw" sounded like noodling. Maybe it went over my head, but that was my honest opinion.
