What in the bejesus is SWLABR about? I was once told that is stands for "She Walks Like a Bearded Rainbow" and that even makes it more confusing.

My guess is Eric, Jack, and Ginger all decided to take some acid one night and this is the song they wound up with.

I've heard that's what it stands for too. And I will second your idea about the origins of the song! LMAO!

"Bearded Rainbow"

In my perverted mind-
A woman's two legs = the rainbow's arc.
The beard...you figure that one out.

For starters, the lyrics were done by Peter Brown, Jack Bruce's long-time collaborator. He's pretty far out there, so what it means could be anybody's guess!

FWIW, the translation I once read was, "She Walks Like a Bearded Rainbow".......something about looking up towards a light with someone standing over you and their hair forming a bearded rainbow

Soon after, LSD quality got even worse.

So, it appears my translation was right-on-the-money...& sans chemicals!
Being an English major has finally paid off!
