Creating the "Virtual Billy" (Can the DAW feed back?)

Sign in to disble this ad
In trying to build the 'Billy" channel strip settings for my bass tracks, I'm coming oh, so close, but I'm missing one vital element: that howling, almost outta control feedback that starts to rage when I hold a note for a few seconds. Are any of you guys getting good, realistic feedback generated strictly in the DAW, or can that really only happen when a real amp is plowing through real speakers?
