Hi. New to the forum. Originally guitar player and picked up bass for this band, so I'm uneasy at times, not knowing if I'm sounding good enough at bass. It's hard to judge when you've played guitar all your life (and even then I never cared to compare myself to others, but now that things are picking up with the band...).
We recorded a demo (consists of 3 songs, 1) violence of your love, 2) slightly crooked, 3) fading instance).
You can hear them at
www.myspace.com/bellow (ignore the 4th song "hudson in the twilight" which I recorded at home).
Please give me some critique if you are in a position to do so (have significantly more experience than me as a bass player).
I am NOT asking you to critique other elements of the band or the songs, even though you can if you want to. I just want to know if I'm doing it more or less as it's supposed to be done in this genre, whatever that may be.
I don't remember the rig I used for this demo, it was in a studio. I use a pick.
Thanks so much.
