critique my bass for the new demo

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone. I've been playing bass since i was 13, and i'm 19 now. My band has just released our first demo tonight, it took us about two weeks.

I was a little nervous going into record, i've only recorded on a few other small time cd's with friends before. What made things relaxed for me was that we're recording at our guitarist's studio, which made the atmosphere a very pleasant one.

I was wondering if you veterans who have been playing for years could critique my playing? I mean, chances are likely that some of you can listen to the tracks, and give me feedback-whatever positive or negative.

Thank you all so much, i'm exited to hear from all of you!

thanks again, andrew

Sounds great.
Its a little hard to hear what you are playing. The bass is quite low in the mix but it pretty much sounds like you're on the money.

You're drummer's playing very much ahead of the tempo in These Halls. Don't try and match his kick pattern or it could sound labored. (ie: the kick he's playing before the 1- leave it to him- the 1 will sound much punchier)
