Greetings!

I've been hard at work demo'ing some stuff and I feel it's time to get some other peoples perspectives and opinions.

I've got a political / social theme going on, hence I'm using some historic speeches it's also mainly due to the fact that I can't sing....

I played everything myself, drums aren't programmed. I used a Roland kit for that. Cubase 5. Steinberg CI-1 interface and a condenser mic. Spector Forte 4. Ashdown Evo 900 amp and a ABM 810.
The bass was recorded with a mic and a line out through my M-80 Bass DI (emphasis on the mic).
Guitars were recorded through the same as my bass, through the same rig.

I've been learning how to mix...I know it sounds crappy still. Lots of room for improvements.

Listening through decent store bought headphones...

General thoughts:
Bass drum is really low, but drums are low in general

First track:
Drop the bass a tad

Second track:
Drop guitar a tad

Third track:
Hard-pan left and right always sounds a bit odd through headphones.
bass needs to come up

Fourth track:
bass needs to come up

Fifth track:
IMO, this is the best mixed but drums could still come up a tad.

I dig the music though. Good stuff!
