My band, KC Roberts and the Live Revolution, has just started crowdfunding our third LP. I'm wondering if anyone on TB has gone this route before. If so, any advice would be much appreciated since this is uncharted territory for me. We're off to a good start, but I'm not so naïve as to think it'll be easy.
I'm particularly interested in success stories that we may be able to duplicate or failure stories that we might be able to avoid. I saw a couple of similar threads a while back that didn't get much traffic, but I figured it was still worth a shot.
FYI, we've built our own crowdfunding site (
KCLR Fund) rather than going with Kickstarter (only open to US citizens) or any of the others (each of which is expensive).
