Anybody here dig this CD? I listened to it today while doing yard work and forgot just how much I liked it. I thought these guys would have hit it big, maybe they were ugly, lol. For those who haven't heard them, to me they sound like Bad Company if that band grew up in the South.

I got turned on to them by a drummer when he suggested we work of "Peace Pipe". That particular band we were in didn't go anywhere, but I hunted down the album and loved it!!

Yep, I had that CD back in the early 90's. The band I was in did a cover of "Peace Pipe". Wonder what ever happened to that CD? Wonder what ever happened to that band; the one I was in....don't you hate it when that happens!

Still got the t-shirt from that tour. They did one more album (diamonds and debris?) something like that. No where near as good as the first album, the singer left to pursue a solo career, and no one has heard from them again.

COL Brother is still one of my all time favorite CD's, Carnival is one of the tracks I listen to over and over, as well as Too Cold In The Winter.

I believe Audley Freed, the guitarist, is now playing in The Black Crowes. The second album didn't have the debut's greaziness, imho.

Robert Kearns played bass for COL- nice blues based riffing! He went on to play w/ the Bottle Rockets- not sure what he's doing now...

Great CD. Really stripped down and raw. Audley Freed is a great guitarist.

I don't think he is still with the Crowes but if you check out his bio, he has done a ton of work with a wide variety of bands/artist.

Robert Kearns recently took over bass duties in Lynyrd Skynyrd after Ean Evans passed away due to cancer. Not sure if Robert is going to stay w/ them for their upcoming recording project or not...
