I'm not sure how many have or haven't heard of Daikaiju around here, but I wanted to introduce those who haven't heard of them, and remind those who have. they're a really great surf rock band from around here that managed to get a bit of fame in the underground world of surf rock. Daikaiju - The Trouble With Those Mothra Girls - YouTube Daikaiju - YouTube - youtube playlist of Daikaiju daikaiju.net - their website. has music from the new album streaming on it.
great stuff!

Used to do some shows with a band that dressed like Mexican wrestlers, monsybilic answers and all. |

I'm actually starting a prog surf band called Black Dynamite. it should be pretty neat. I've got two songs written, and I've got a full band together already...just gonna get the material written, then practice, then playing. should be pretty damn nifty.

Nice guys too! I'm so happy for them that they are starting to get some recognition. They have been doing their thing for a few years now, and have toured all over. I know it's cliché, but they really are kind of big in Japan. If you have the opportunity to see them live in the future, do it! You will not be dissappointed.
