Damascus - NJ based Post-Metal/Rock, Instrumental

Hey folks!

I had posted on here when my band put out our first release and I got some great responses from people. So in a similar fashion I would like to announce my bands newest EP 'Of Whom I Always Think'. It is available online for free stream & download. For the free download simply enter 0.00 in the price section.

As the title says our name is Damascus and we are a New Jersey based instrumental post-metal/post-rock band. I would love to get some honest/critical opinions and feedback from the community on our most recent release. And if you haven't heard out first EP check that out as well (also free!).

Here's the music - Damascus

Enjoy!

Sounds cool and good tunes. I like the bass tone you have going on it. What are you using?

Just listened to the three tracks on the site, playing and production are really good, the music reminded me of a mix between Scale the summit and (to a lesser extent) Russian Circles? Pretty good stuff...

Edit: just listened to the first EP too... which is also very good, but I think you can hear the progression in the new one! Really enjoyed the music, thanks for posting, I think it would deserve "standard" distribution... more than other things I heard published in the genre, that's for sure.

Thank you very much for checking out the music, really glad you like it! We really appreciate it. As for my gear I'm playing a MIM Fender J bass through a Markbass 2x10 combo. The bass isn't stock though. I modded it with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pups (the set), as well as all new electronics, and bridge. Thanks again for giving our music a listen!

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to check out all of our tunes. Thank you so very much for those kinds words! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed everything so much. We really tried to take the new EP as a chance to mature our sound a bit and to try and grow as well as move forward. The fact that our sound reminded you of 2 awesome bands makes me gitty with joy lol. Thanks again for the support!
