I don't usually talk about cds or anything on talkbass, but I gotta say, this cd floored me! I guess the story goes that DangerMouse and Daniele Luppi are old friends who both shared a passion for the Italian westerns, specifically the music. They wanted to write a modern album as a nod to the genre and it really turned out great imo
They got Norah Jones and Jack White on vocals, as well as a bunch of older Italian musicians. The bass player plays a Fender Bass VI through an old bassman rig with EMT plate reverb...check it out!
