Hey there.............. I am looking for the time and key signature to "Funhouse". I say it is 4/4, but another guy in the band thinks it is 6/8. Also The key I am guessing is D minor? Great Song. Just starting to learn it.

Anyway, Funhouse is definitely 4/4 time. Great song.

I'm a big fan of DG. Who ever had that kind of command of a Tele, and the scales knowledge to go with it? Then the man goes and blows his head off. What a crying shame. It equals Hendrix's untimely death for musical tragedy in my lifetime.

| | | | Roy Buchanan was another monster Tele player that decided to check out early.
I haven't heard the tune in-question here (I can't get your link to work here, cdef. If I remember, I'll try it whenever I get home)-
I do know some tunes may have different 'time lines' going on...such as a those Latin tunes having a 6/8 thing goin' on in 4/4.
BTW, I'm not sure I would call 6/8 a Waltz time (3/4).

That's 4/4...blatantly.
Bass is walking 4 beats to the bar.

My recording is on the anthology set. The bass starts in D and moves to A and then Bb back to A so I don't think it is in C. Danny was an amazing musician. I was lucky enough to hear him play live once before he was gone. Just incredible!!!

Gatton was a rare case--he was channeling something special . .
YES!!!--Def check out Jim Campilongo----he is truly AMAZING (and a super nice guy--I've shared a stage or two with him in my old SF days and a nicer cat you won't meet anywhere.
