i used to be obsessed with DSOTM, and yes, it is an amazing album, but now that i've branched out and listened to some more of their stuff, I've realized its a bit over rated. I'd have to say half of the stuff on the Wall is better than any one of DSOTM's songs, and Wish you were Here has a few too. The thing is, DSOTM is meant to be listened to all in one, or you miss the big picture.

As a former Floyd fanatic I can say that I'd probably appreciate DSOTM more if clazsic rock radio hadn't destroyed it.

I like Gilmour's music and Waters' lyrics. I do NOT like them seperate amd do not accept Gilmour's band as Pink Floyd....they sound just like all his solo efforts.And though Waters' whining got old I still like The Final Cut and The Wall far more than DSOTM.

Animals still floats aroind the top of the list.
