David Bowie - Low

I love the first half of this album, and the bass is really tasteful and in the pocket. Could anyone give me any more information about this album, specifically the bass? Any good youtube vids out there? Cheers

Thanks. Did he play on other Bowie stuff?

The bass on this album doesn't deflect from the rest of the music, but fits in really well and has lots of nice little riffs.

Murray played on Bowie's mid to late 70's albums, including Heros, great basslines on that album.

Heroes-Low-Lodger-Scary Monsters, that sequence of Bowie albums is great, plus Low has my all time favorite lyric on relationships:

"You're a wonderful person, but you got problems..." (from "Breaking Glass")

Low might be my favorite Bowie record. I agree that the three afterward make up his best run of work.
