Man I just heard this song on the radio today and I'm madly in love with it. I youtubed it and found a live performance with a killing bass player. I'm not going to say the name because it might turn some of you off but you just have to watch this video.

I usually play jazz but this makes me want to convert to some more funky stuff haha. Check out the riff at 2:06. Anywho I just wanted to show it to ya'll.

I don't recognize the player - although I get the sense from your post that I should - but that is a serious groove. Some of the related vids demonstrate more of the same. Great stuff - thanks for sharing.

The unison line at around 1:58 of the Jimmy Kimmel performance is freakin' INCREDIBLE!

Such a great catchy song. Great music, great lyrics, I would love to be the bassist that helps make music like this. Mind you I am mostly a rock listener, but I would love to play with a band like this any time.
