I'm sort of confused..

In your Club Foot video, you're playing righty, and in the Seven Nation Army one, you're lefty..

I can't use a pick at all, always use my fingers to play, so props man, I didn't see or hear anything wrong with your playing. Maybe they're not fans of the type of music, then they're comments are irrelevant anyways. No playr can say you suck.

Same thing I posted on the vid.

i am ambidextrous, one of my many cool talents

jk, the white stripes was my first video, so i didnt know how to flip the video. But then i fixed it in my other ones. I understand your confusion.

it's probably already been said but everybody on youtube is some little kid whose even worse than you who thinks you suck cause you cant play as fast as victor wooten.

Watch the American Idol outtakes. The people that are scary are the ones that think they're great, and suck big time.

Pretty much everyone sucks at first. Nothing wrong with that.
As long as you think you suck, that means you have something to learn. Work on that until that doesn't suck. Find something else that you suck at on bass and work on that.

Understand that there is an astoundingly wide range of talent out there, and there's always someone out there that will make you look like you suck in comparison. Use that to motivate you. Remember that they sucked at one time, and just worked longer/harder than you have. Nothing magical about them. You put in the time, you can get there too.

Once you don't think you suck, you get complacent, and stop learning, get stagnant. I don't want to be embarrassed, it drives me to work on other stuff, to get better.

Practicing stuff you do well doesn't make you better. Find the stuff you suck at, and work on it until you can do it. Embrace the suck. That's what makes you better.

That's my take on it. I've been playing for 35 years, and I still suck at some things. A lot less stuff than I sucked at when I was only playing for 5 years.

Here's my honest analysis

1: take the hat off... makes oh look like a punk 13 year old kid... oh wait... :P
2: those bermuda plaid shorts are cool... oh wait... it's not 1982... and u weren't even born yet :P
3: I'm not a big fan of the pick sound... but ok,
4: figure out a better way to get a better sound outa ur bass to record on youtube... this can be done pretty cheaply

Lastly don't be discouraged by the morons on youtube... Obviously you don't suck, heck you play better than me (only difference is I'm older and can afford to get my gear to sound better)

... keep it up man... geesh... and I expect to see a 'HELP MY FINGERS ARE BLEEDING' post from you shortly...

keep on... 'strummin?'

and yes... I'm a critical pita
