Do you like Metallica's Music? If you consider Metallica "music".

The only ones I like are And Justice For All and the Master of Puppets Album.
Other than that I hate all of it.

I don't dig them, aside from a very small handful of songs. Just not my cup of tea.

Hell Ya!!

I don't care for all their tunes but that's pretty much how I feel about most bands.

Most of it.

Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are, IMO, Thrash Masterpieces.

Kill Em All and Justice are great but not as great as the above 2.

Black is OK but it the start of the end.

The 2 Load albums are good but there are a lot of filler songs. They could of cut 1/2 the songs from each album and made one GREAT album that would of blew the doors off of the Black album.

I love Garage Inc and S&M. Lots of great and weird covers and the S&M is cool to hear a lot of of their songs in a different way.

St. Anger is a load of crap.

Meh, they're alright, great to rock out to, but get tiring very fast.

Throw in 'Garage Days Rerevisited', take note of my editing and we're done here.

I had a huge metallica phase in 8th grade.

Now that I'm several years removed from it....They have some decent songs (Justice being my favorite album by them), but they probably wouldn't even make my top 100 bands list nowadays.

FTR: I didn't hate St. Anger as much as most people did.

This thread depends on your definition of Metallica. IMHO, Metallica died after ...And Justice for All.

And that's why you'd never be considered a true Metallica fan.

All bands go through phases, just because they changed their sound and pretty much sold out does not change the fact that they are Metallica though. I happen to have liked every single thing they've done. It is just all different, and I have an eclectic taste in music, so I don't mind any of it.

Oh, I think more than a few got it, and you've got a point. But what's funny for me is watching it grow like you were serious. Allow me to continue:

Cliff Burton is far better than the Gza will ever be. He totally owns the entire Wu-Tang Clan with ODB. AND he would have beat up today's Metallica with just his hair.

Mike

The music they make is mediocre and poorly mixed metal. I hate James Hetfield and Lars Ulbitch as human beings.

I used to be a pretty big fan of the early stuff and they've musically had their great moments on albums past "Justice", but for the most part their output past that record bores me...

I applaud them for their "maturing", longevity and all that stuff, and their commercial success in spite of their already awesome success as a touring act.... but I have to admit the "some kind of monster" documentary was pretty funny and painful to watch, tho I'm sure that wasn't their intent.
