do you like my tone?

hi everybody..

I played my Fender Precision Mex thru AmpliTube + added some Compression and EQ. Now the question is, do you like it? Does this sound like a P-Bass should sound?.. Any suggestions on something I could change? I know it's just a matter of taste really, but nonetheless.. give me your thoughts.

I think it works. Pretty professional sounding even on Lo-Fi. To get a vintage P-bass tone you might want to add some lows and possibly low-mids and maybe cut some of the mids-to-high-mids. It may also be where your tone knob is. I've found that a lot of P-basses require the tone knob all the way at 0 or completely down to get that warm, thumpy, rounded tone.

P.S. - You've got a p-bass, might as well work on some James Jamerson, James Brown, and pretty much any motown/early funk. Great stuff to work on.
