Doing some soundtrack work...what do you think?

A friend of mine asked me to do a bit of soundtrack work for an Indie movie he's working on. This will be used during an action sequence.

This is a work in progress but please take a listen and provide feedback - whatever you think is OK to post - I have a thick skin. I produced the whole thing, guitar, bass and drums. Be sure to wear some good headphones if you want to hear the bass well.

Is this your playing we're listening to, or your composition, or both?

Both.

And the ending is a bit dodgy, I'd love some feedback on a better one.

Well, you'e right, I'll need some phones.......I can't really hear much bass on my laptop speakers, but that's all I've got with me at the moment.

The musical ideas still sound like they have more development to be done........I will mention, it didn't have me thinking "action scene", but I'm not really sure how to characterize it.

I'll listen again later when I can hear all the parts!

It's a film about snowboarding - I can't release the actual footage but picture it playing against something like that.

seems really low-key to me, not very action-y at all... I can see it being used for a drugged out, shaky handicam, saunter through a nightclub scene.

Really? Wow. It seems really appropriate over the snowboarding cut scenes.

The sync with video can make all the difference sometimes.
