No, not Thelma Houston. Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes.
This
is what we mean when we say 'tasty lick'.

One of my favorite Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes tracks! This one blows away the Thelma Houston cover, in my opinion. Nobody can sing like Teddy P.
Definitely tasty playing on this song. I always find myself humming the bass line during the chorus instead of singing the words.

While I enjoy Thelma Houston's version as well, this one is way cooler.

I love Teddy's work with the Blue Notes -- anyone else find it ironic that Harold Melvin seemed like the weak link in the vocal department?
I do think that Thelma sounds awesome on this song though.
