Hey guys, just dropping in to offer you guys a free album of something I think a lot of you will enjoy. We are a female fronted indie/electro/rock band from Columbia, SC trying to break out of this terrible music scene and make a name for ourselves. To further explain our sound; our singer has a very soulful voice that we back up with high energy music. Thats really the best way I can explain it.

Being the golden age of the internet, we figure what better way to get our name and music out there than by offering it to everyone free of charge!

Choice tracks (IMO) are Narcoleptic at the Wheel, Models & Bottles, and 5 Year Memory (check out the bass intro on this one ) for our signatur sound, or Rome is Burning for something more melodic.

Few notes, we're not too happy with the overall mix (I'm especially unhappy with the bass tone/presence overall), but we feel its a decent enough ep to start pushing seriously.

Enjoy, and feel free to offer any feedback or criticisms, we are always open to new advice and opinions!

I really enjoy the tracks. I'm listening to them now, not all the way though the EP, but thus far I really like it.

I'll give you some more comprehensive thoughts once I've gotten a chance to play them some more.

Peace

-Benny

It sounds too intelligent to have been created south of the Mason-Dixon line

Very nice. I'll be sure to refer you guys to all my internet-inclined friends.

NICE. I'm really digging this! It reminds me of a little more rocking, slightly less new-wave version of a band I used be in when I started college. Speaking of, I've been looking into SC lately for graduate school. It's encouraging that products like this are coming out of that area.

I'm listening on MySpace as it downloads...first thoughts are it's good quality fun stuff. Really like even though indie really isn't my thing.

USC specifically? If so send me a PM, I can probably give you decent insight about it, I'm in my 4th year as an undergrad.

thanks for the compliments guys, glad you're all enjoying it!

Yeah, considering sending an application to USC for law school. It can't hurt anything to send another app out. I'll send you a PM when I get some questions up about it.
I REALLY wish Stereowave was still together because I would LOVE to play a gig w/ you guys! We never made it as far as SC, but played alot in GA and the FL panhandle.
I'm going to give this a few more listens and try to get some more helpful comments/critiques/constructive criticism than just saying I like it.

edit: I'm sure there are more nerds than me here who would be interested in hearing about your recording process and experience. It's a good quality and I know I, for one, would like to hear more about it.

regarding recording: we did it with a personal friend in his home studio. We recorded over a 2 week period, different people working on stuff each day. It was pretty much all done on Protools, and as far as bass goes, it was all digital straight in. We used a lot of modeling plugins (such as an Ampeg one for the bass tone). I was skeptical about going all digital, but he did a good enough job that we were happy with it. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

I'm a "Indie guy" and this isn't Indie...sounds like the band my daughter went to see Paramore...I would prefer to hear a more live sound. Great bass playing and a tight band...

yeah, we've had a hard time defining our sound with words, indie is just a broad enough thing that it gets slapped on to our sound by a lot of people I guess. glad so many of you are enjoying it!

awesome tracks! Great playing - what bass do you use? I'm listening to myspace while they download.

Makes me wanna find a female singer even more than I did.. my guitarist and I who have been friends forever and in and out of a few bands want to start a project with a female singer...

They were all recorded on my MIA standard jazz. I messed around with a deluxe but the passive sounded so much more aggressive and ballsy.
