DrPepper Will Give Everyone in America a Free Soda If Axl Rose Releases record in '08

*Guitarists Slash and Buckethead Will Not Be Eligible For Free Soda

March 26, 2008: 09:00 AM EST

PLANO, Texas, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Tired of a world in which Americans idolize wannabe singers and musicals about high schoolers pass as rock 'n roll music, Dr Pepper is encouraging (ok, begging) Axl Rose to finally release his 17-year-in-the-making belabored masterpiece, Chinese Democracy, in 2008.

In an unprecedented show of solidarity with Axl, everyone in America, except estranged GNR guitarists Slash and Buckethead, will receive a free can of Dr Pepper if the album ships some time -- anytime! -- in 2008. Dr Pepper supports Axl, and fully understands that sometimes you have to make it through the jungle before you get it right.

"It took a little patience to perfect Dr Pepper's special mix of 23 ingredients, which our fans have come to know and love," said Jaxie Alt, director of marketing for Dr Pepper. "So we completely understand and empathize with Axl's quest for perfection -- for something more than the average album. We know once it's released, people will refer to it as "Dr Pepper for the ears" because it will be such a refreshing blend of rich, bold sounds -- an instant classic."

**** Axl Rose, **** Chinese Democracy, and **** Dr. Pepper!

OK just kidding about Dr. Pepper, I love that stuff!

Ever notice how "Chinese Democracy" is code for "Never going to happen"?

I'd drink a quart of bidet sludge if Axl would promise not to release another album.

If G&R's past records are anything to go by, I would hope so!

Consider yourselves lucky. In Mississippi and Alabama, all carbonated beverages are referred to as Coke, whether they be Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Fanta, Pepsi, or Coca-Cola.

Well, I never got my free taco from Taco Bell when Jacoby Ellsbury stole the first stolen base in last year's World Series, so I guess I've got something to look forward to this time around!

Seeing as Dr. Pepper is a gift of eternal refreshment from the Gods themselves, I cannot condone this obviously deluded junction...tho I applaud their generousity...but please, good Dr...or Mr Pibb, or whatever you like to refer yourself to regionally, do NOT align yourself with has been Axl No-EyebRose. Align yourself with my belly. Get in there.

Most people in Chicago call it pop too damnit!!!

Safe marketing ploy by that insidious Dr.Pepper and his evil cohorts.

hellborg sounds like chicken ****ing music. That video he has on Youtube makes me laugh, what the hell is that random fat guy doing there.

Must be noted that I don't think this is real GNR, far from it. Axl is simply using the name as a similiar reference for marketing. I DO think that this album will probably and hopefully be good since it took so long to make. It will be a REAL album that is needed in todays mainstream music.

I am allergic to corn syrup and I think Axl Rose is one of the worst singers to ever have existed.
