Hey

I'm a pretty old school rock kinda guy, maiden, tallica, dio, europe, skid row, etc... with a little bit of prog, dream theater, pink floyd...

And I must say im pretty impressed with this album, every track is great... Awesome riffs, some songs have solos too, its pretty different, this is their best album yet, bass work is pretty good too, their new bassist is pretty good he has a few intros and you can hear him pretty well, great playing... Vocals are just amazing, this dude has voice, lyrcis are great too!! The guitarist is awesome great riffs, great solos, everything... Drum work is pretty good too, very good!!

My favourite tracks of this album are : Overburdened (fav track,6 mins which is pretty long for a song these days, wah wah solo ), Stricken(great song, solo too, verse+chorus rock, Just Stop, I'm Alive(Chorus is ), Land Of Confusion (Genesis cover),Sons of Plunder(Chorus is too!), Deify...

The rest are all great, but these are the best...

Overall a great album,

I've got to disagree with you there. Sure the drums and vocals are very nice, but I felt the guitar riffs were lacking some of the originality and organic power of the first 2 albums.

I liked every song on Believe, on this album I only like 4.

Be careful, you're about to summon legions of tr00 metal fans up against you. Tread carefully my lad.

Just kidding, as a "true" metal fan myself, Disturbed actually has a couple of songs in there that I dig such as Decide, I believe the title of the song is. All in all, they may not be Judas Priest, but they're definately no Papa Roach . I'm not ready to drop dime on a new CD yet (in general), but I might check out more of them in the future.

I'm not a huge fan of Disturbed, but I really like this album. The guitar player impressed me by playing some really nice, tastefull solos.

Also I think that the 'Land of Confusion' cover is pretty damn cool.

Yeah, they really improved, moved up a few steps in my book... Considering that my music taste is totally different...

i'd only heard a few songs by them in the past and was never real impressed. but i saw them at ozzfest last month and was VERY VERY impressed. not sure which songs were new or old but i'd think they'd be playing mostly new stuff. they certainly converted me that nite!

I'm on the other side.
I don't really like this album. I love every song on their debut and Believe, but this one really felt lacking to me. They tried to pull the Incubus/every other band who tried to make a Bush-bashing album last year/ and it left a lot wanting.
I ripped it and kept like 3 or 4 songs and gave it to my buddy. It's alright, but Believe is still tops for me. Great, great album.

I was also a huge fan of this album. Left me to wonder where they would be had they kept fuzz. But the new bassist certainly fills the spot well. But I really do like this album, not many metal bands would cover a genesis song, most would cover misfits and whatnot but this definately shows they stick true to their roots and not worry about image, this is an awesome song too. I rekon the opening track really blew me away, 10,000 fists was mad. Great song and album.

Overall, I've always liked Disturbed, though I used to think them too... basic.

repetitive and stupid lyrics in some songs, and repetitive guitar playing...

this new album is a change for the better I think, It seems a little more detailed.

I like it.

from the other albums, the one song I REALLY like is "Prayer" (is that the name?)
