i thought it would be nice to start a thread of the simplest bass songs, for beginners and lazy people who want to easily add a bunch of new songs to their repetoir . please post only SUPER simple, 3 or 4 chord songs, and i know this can easily get filled with "no bass" songs - lets try to keep it real. i'll get things started with these...
blitzkrieg bop - ramones
all the small things - blink 182
dreams - fleetwood mac
mony, mony - billy idol
whole lotta love - zeppelin |

heck, just about any song you hear on the radio today is an easy 2-3 chord song.
around here the last time i went to a live show, they played alot of white stripes (well, a lot of "hate to say i told you so").
clapton's cocaine is pretty easy, and usually is a good crowd pleaser around here.
of course there are hundreds of other songs in a thousand other genres, like in jazz, Herbie Hancock's "chameleon" is pretty easy, only two chords.

I always laugh when bands play this song and then say something like "Hell yeah... God bless america!!".. while there's nothing wrong with that sentiment, it's a protest song... so that's not quite the right statement to be making. |

Wasn't this song banned from a lot of US Radio playlists? Sorta like when Regan used "Born in the U.S.A." as an election theme song. |

"This Note's For You" was banned from MTV because it PO'd a lot of MTV sponsors.
