Easy songs to jam with friends?

Something without insane chord changes or ripping tempos.

Example, we have been playing Inca Roads by Zappa.

Anybody have any suggestions? More on the rock side maybe?

Fear of the Dark by Iron Maiden is pretty fun to jam with, so is A Thousand Years Of Oppression by Amon Amarth. I don't know what kind of rock you were looking for but those songs are easy and cool to play around with.

haha, nice.

I'm looking for some more rocking songs, easy to pick up and fun to improv with.

I remember playing some Iron Maiden, especially Powerslave, that was pretty nice to jam on with my buddies. Also, Sabbath, if you are willing to downtune for some of them-Sweet Leaf, etc, or you can just play it tuned standard, like we did with Paranoid. Another good band is Alice in Chains. A lot of the 'classic' metal bands that are somewhat close to rock have some good simple songs to jam on. Another good thing you could do is just learn the blues and jam on it-that's a quick way to learn a lot of classic rock songs (and jazz, and tons of other stuff), too, since many of them are based on it.

Stevie Wonder, I wish
Doobie Brothers, Long train running

Two typical covers, easy to pick up, and has a nice groove and friendly chord movements to improvise over.
