Eddie henderson - sunburst

This is a great record from the 70's in the jazz-funk vein, great playing from Eddie and Herbie hancocks band (it's the guys herbie used for the mwandishi and sextet recordings), I believe it's buster Williams on bass and he's awesome. Nice solid funk grooves and nice use of effects as well.

Anyone else dig this record?

Mark-
...I thought I remembered a similar conversation...

Herbie Hancock Thrust-like albums

I also recall several other threads which mentioned Sunburst. Alphonso & Buster Williams are on bass.
Love it & Thrust.

Moon Germs by Joe Farrell is also cool...more acoustic than Sunburst, but has that spacey '70s Jazz-Fusion thing.

I bought this cd from a guy on talkbass (i forgot who ) but i didn't know anything about it, but at the time I was obsessed with the headhunters cd and 70s funk/fusion so i went with it, and I am psyched that I did!
