Anyone who has this bassline scored?

I bought a score sheet on the tune on some website that sells download scores, but it was just a basic bass score in a piano staff.

The bassline is so damn well played and if you know anything bout the player ( I think it's Pino Palladino ) and have some more tips on tunes with nice lines from him, I'd be happy to hear about that as well.

Or else I will just have to learn it and score it meself .. hehe.

;P

Almost done with scoring the bass line of Nikita, album version, neato played there by Pino!

Just need to edit a little and verify that everything is correct, but that's for tomorrow or for the weekend.

Are you sure Pino played this track? The album had 4 bass players all told, and a few sources cite David Patton as bassist for Nikita, but none cite Pino on this one.

Great bassline nonetheless!

David Paton is listed on Wiki as having played bass on "Nikita"
see link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikita_(song)

I was wrong when I wrote that, it was Paton I later found out, and I contacted him to see if he had a transcription, he didn't, though he was very nice and polite and seemed almost sorry he couldn't help!

I'd like to hear more of Patton's work - always loved the fat tone and overall vibe of that line - that basslien MAKES the song IMO.

David Paton all over Alan Parsons

David Paton played on most of the Alan Parsons Project's cds. I believe he's on Tales of Mystery and Imagination but he's not on Gaudi. Anything between I Robot and Stereotomy is his work.
